It is another bad experience from Tom’s Ford and I had to write a review this time. My wife dropped in her car at their place for a repair two months back for some transmission issue. Now, this was not a very new car then, yet it was really strange for not so old car to develop such an issue so early. Luckily, it was under warranty and we took it there. They assessed it in front of us and informed us about the issue and gave us an estimated time of 2-3 days.
Then they proceeded to tell us how much it would cost. I told them that she had the car under warranty and that this should not cost her anything. They checked the documents and verified that it was in fact under warranty. They did take the car in. It was 2 days later when I called them to get a status when they said that the work was under progress but might take a clue of more days.
I asked them about it and they said that this was due to the procedure to be followed under warranty terms and conditions. I could not say much and just requested them to do it at the earliest. But in my experience, whenever my wife goes there with an issue that is covered under the warranty terms, they do not deliver the car in the estimated time and it usually is delayed by at least a couple of days.
This has happened to her three or four times now. We feel quite disappointed because this is not fair. We paid for having our car under warranty and we should not be treated this way. In fact we too are a paying customer and deserve timely service for our car.
